Trump Calls for the ‘Immediate’ Release of Mar-a-Lago Documents: ‘The World Is Watching’
Hours after a federal judge gave the Justice Department a deadline to establish former President Donald Trump’s stance on releasing the search warrant used to raid Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump made his position abundantly clear.
In a pair of posts on his Truth Social platform, Trump said he wants the warrant to be made public.
“Not only will I not oppose the release of documents related to the unAmerican, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in of my home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago, I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents, even though they have been drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents, who have a strong and powerful vested interest in attacking me, much as they have done for the last 6 years,” the former president wrote.
“It’s information that Trump felt spoke to matters regarding everything from Russiagate to the Ukraine impeachment fiasco to major national security matters of great public importance — anything the president felt the American people had a right to know is in there and more.”
