According to Obama, the States have no constitutional grounds to refuse his dictatorial edicts, especially when it comes to immigration, or "refugees".
Let’s back up, for a moment. First of all, the federal government only has authorities over what the Constitution expressly delegates to it. If the Constitution is silent on something, the federal government does not have the authority. With the States, if the authority is not given to the federal government, and the States are not prohibited to do something according to the text of the U.S. Constitution, it is a State authority.
Chicago To Remind Citizens Gun Ownership Is Illegal
CHICAGO (WNB) – In response to over 400 people killed so far this year, The City of Chicago is introducing a new media campaign to remind its citizens that handgun ownership is illegal.
"It’s clear many Chicagoans have either forgotten or were never told that they are not allowed to own handguns. We are comfortable that gun deaths will be dramatically reduced once people know the law," said a spokesperson for Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
The educational campaign features the animated jive-talking character "Punk-E Pistol" delivering a series of messages on the illegality of handgun ownership and the associated penalties.
