Honor killings are far from rare in the Islamic religion. In Pakistan alone, honor killings are the cause of death for over 1,000 women every year. The number is likely much higher but many deaths are not investigated. Sharia law advocates murder of anyone who oppresses Islam. When a Muslim woman or girl does anything to disrespect Islam (like have sex before marriage) then murder of that person is not only legitimate but encouraged.
This isn’t just happening on the other side of the globe. Honor killings are just as common in Muslim communities within the United States. They are often covered up by the perpetrator as accidents or suicides. Political correctness also forces deliberate cover-ups of atrocities committed in the name of Islam.
As you can see, Islam is far from a “religion of peace” as Obama would like you to believe.
