Obamacare 101: What to know if you opt out of buying health insurance

The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, requires that individuals buy health insurance. If you don’t want to buy insurance, you will have to pay a penalty – unless you qualify for an exemption from the mandate.

How does someone apply for an exemption from health insurance so that they don’t have to pay the penalty?

You can claim exemptions on your 2014 federal tax return, or you can apply for exemptions on the Health Insurance Marketplace exchanges. (The application is not currently available). Healthcare.gov will provide up-to-date information about how to apply for an exemption. 

Who is eligible for such exemptions?

You can be exempted from the requirement to buy health insurance – and hence, from the penalty – if you meet one of the following requirements:

•You are uninsured for less than three months of the year.

•You live illegally in the United States.

•You’re incarcerated, and not awaiting disposition.

•You’re a member of a recognized Indian tribe.

•Your income is officially deemed too low.

•The lowest-priced converge would cost more than 8 percent of your household income.

•You’re a member of a recognized religious sect with religious objections to insurance, including Social Security and Medicare. (Muslim)

•You’re a member of a recognized health-sharing ministry. (Note: Christian Scientists do not currently qualify for the exemption.) 

Healthcare.gov also provides a list of hardship exemptions that qualify an individual for exemption.

• June 11, 2003, Rep. Vic Snyder, D-Ark., broughtHJR 59.It was intended to “permit persons who are not natural born citizens of the United States, but who have been citizens of the United States for at least 35 years, to be eligible to hold the offices of president and vice president.”
• Sept. 3, 2003, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., brought HJR67,which would have done the same as Snyder’s, only the requirement to be a citizen was lowered to 20 years.
• Feb. 25, 2004, Sen. Don Nickles, R-Okla., brought S.B. 2128 to “try to counter the growing Democrat onslaught aimed at removing the natural born citizen requirement.” But it defined NBC as someone who was born in and is subject to the United States,” which was not the understanding of the framers of the Constitution.
• Sept. 15, 2004, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., brought HJR 104,“to make eligible for the office of president a person who is not a natural born citizen of the United States but has been a United States citizen for at least 20 years.”
• Jan. 4, 2005, Conyers, D-Mich., HJR2, the same as Rohrabacher’s.
• Feb. 1, 2005, HJR15, Rohrabacher, to require only 20 years citizenship to be eligible for the office of president.
• April 14, 2005, Snyder, HJR42, requiring 35 years’ citizenship.
• Feb. 28, 2008, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., tried to attach to SB 2678, Children of Military Families Natural Born Citizen Act, an amendment clarifying what “natural-born citizen” includes. Obama and then-Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., were sponsors.

After Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama issued their non-binding resolution stating that John McCain was a Natural Born Citizen (which was never in question), there was language in that statement that Congress continually uses to prop-up Obama’s legitimacy:

Whereas the term natural born citizen as that term appears in Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 is not defined in the Constitution of US…”

Congress has decided that the U.S. Constitution does not define Natural Born Citizenship.

A Senate.gov web page covering the Constitution gets the scope of the Second Amendment wrong, telling readers that it is not clear whether the amendment protects an individual right or a collective right.

Here is what the Senate’s web page on the Constitution says about the Second Amendment: “Whether this provision protects the individual’s right to own firearms or whether it deals only with the collective right of the people to arm and maintain a militia has long been debated.”

This is simply not true on at least two levels. 

Number one, the scope of the Second Amendment has not been seriously questioned until Alisky-minded radicals isolated it from among the other amendments in the Bill of Rights and began attacking it. Before that it was taken for granted that the scope of the Second Amendment was the same as the scope of the First, Third, Fourth, Fifth, and so on. 

Remember, the Bill of Rights protects individual, “unalienable rights” with which we were “endowed” by our Creator.

Secondly, and confirming these things, the Supreme Court has ruled that the Second Amendment is an individual right twice in the last five years. 

To preserve the voice of regional constituencies, the framers of the Constitution mandated a specific number of people to be represented per each Congressman, now known as Congressional districts, and they stipulated Senators to be chosen by State legislatures, which were also composed of representatives from the different regional constituencies of the State.

Due to the 17th Amendment altering the election method of State Senators to a State wide popular vote, the Senate no longer accurately represents the will of each State, but instead represents the will of the most populous sections of the State, while disenfranchising people living in rural areas. In a similar way, the winner-take-all Electoral College system in 48 States has done the same thing as the 17th Amendment; advances the will of the most populous sections while disenfranchising the majority of constituencies in each State as seen in the above graphics.

This is a very important issue that best shows its glaring flaws when Americans have unpopular laws, like ObamaCare, imposed upon them. In the battle over funding the Government and the so called Affordable Health Care Act, the national government has come to an impasse in which the House is demanding one thing and the Senate and President refuse to negotiate.

Hope n’ Change is keeping it short and sweet today (well, bittersweet). On Monday, Barack Obama took a few moments out of his hyper-partisan economic speech attacking Republicans to mention the loss of twelve innocent lives at Washington’s Navy Yard, saying “They’re patriots. They know the the dangers of serving abroad, but today they faced the unimaginable violence that they wouldn’t have expected here at home.”

Unless they lived in Chicago, of course.

But sadly, on that same day, the president was also increasing the “danger of unimaginable violence” against those patriots who are serving abroad – specifically by waiving the federal law which was meant to prohibit him from sending arms to terrorists.   In this case, Syrian “rebels” – many of whom are affiliated with radical Islamic terror organizations including the not-so-on-the-run Al-Qaeda.

The president is using this waiver in order to look slightly less like an idiotic eunuch in his mishandling of Syria and pillow-biting display of “more flexibility” for Vladimir Putin, all of which has virtually assured that Assad will now remain safely in power to supervise the (alleged) dismantling of his chemical weapons stockpile.

And if the price of restoring a scintilla of presidential pride is a massive arms shipment to America’s sworn enemies, violating common sense and the clear intent of the law, then so be it.

Because B. Hussein has never cared about waving the American flag…but absolutely loveswaiving the American laws which were meant to protect us.

Wow. High school history book literally rewrites the 2nd amendment

I had to do a double take when I read this. An advanced placement history book being used in Texas has subtly rewritten the second amendment in an apparent attempt to change its meaning.

As more schools try to revise US history, it has been found that Guyer High School in Denton, Texas is using an AP History book that completely changes the 2nd amendment in an attempt to try to “simplify” what it says.  But with more educators trying to brainwash kids into thinking that gun owners are “evil” and guns are the real problem in the world, it’s clear that these changes to the 2nd amendment is not a mistake.

Did you catch how the textbook subtly changed the amendment?

Textbook version: “The people have a right to keep and bear arms in a state militia.”

Actual 2nd Amendment: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

He has no compunction with  arming Mexican drug cartels orterrorists. It’s just law-abiding Americans he’s got a problem with.

President Obama waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to “vetted” opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

There are no daily body counts like the media used to do for Americans in Iraq. While 72% of American troops have died in Afghanistan under Obama’s ‘watch’ last year still saw more murders in Chicago than of Americans in Afghanistan.

Believe it or not, each Party is assigned the duty of vetting and certifying the legal eligibility of their own candidates. I know, like asking the fox to guard the henhouse, right. But hey, we are talking about a country which still thinks there is a separation of powers between the High Court and the Executive branch, which seats that court by way of political appointment, confirmed by congress, which wants a piece of the judge and expects a few political favors too.

The Evidence

In this case, the Democrat Party was responsible for vetting and certifying Barack Hussein Obama as legally eligible to seek the Oval Office. The U.S. Constitution has only three very specific requirements for the job. The proper legal text used on the DNC Party “Official Certification of Nomination” document reads as follows, and I quote;

“THIS IS TO CERTIFY that at the National Convention of the Democrat Party of the United States of America, held in Denver, Colorado on August 25 though 28, 2008, the following were duly nominated as candidates of said Party for President and Vice President of the United States respectively and that the following candidates for President and Vice President of the United States are legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution.”

Yes, I know…. there is a typo in there. Not my typo, it belongs to whoever prepared the official document at the DNC. Did you catch it?

The document is signed by Chair of the DNC Convention and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, DNC Secretary Alice Travis Germond and Colorado Notary of Public Shalifa A. Williamson. It is dated August 28, 2008.

However, this document was never delivered to a single state DNC Office for state certification, and it was therefore, never presented to any state Election Commission as certification of these candidates, although I do have a copy of this notarized document myself.

Instead, a very similar document was delivered to fifty state DNC offices, which those offices certified to each of fifty state Election Commissions, who then date-stamped the document and stuck it in a file cabinet, and proceeded to place these “certified” candidates on the ballot.

The “Official Certification of Nomination” that was presented by the DNC in all fifty states for the 2008 Presidential election, in which Barack Hussein Obama became the new President of the United States, was almost identical, and it too was signed by Chair of the DNC Convention and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, DNC Secretary Alice Travis Germond and Notary of Public Shalifa A. Williamson, dated August 28, 2008.

But this version of the document was missing the following text, and I quote;

“- and that the following candidates for President and Vice President of the United States are legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution.”

The legal certification text on the DNC certified nomination document used for the DNC ticket was limited to, and I quote;

“THIS IS TO CERTIFY that at the National Convention of the Democrat Party of the United States of America, held in Denver, Colorado on August 25 though 28, 2008, the following were duly nominated as candidates of said Party for President and Vice President of the United States respectively:

Oops, another typo? The reference to Obama’s constitutional eligibility was missing… An accidental omission?

The text certifying that Barack Hussein Obama was “legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution” had been removed from the document sent to the states. And yes, I have a copy of this version of the DNC Official Certification of Nomination letter too!

In fact, this version is in Election Commission files of all fifty state Election Commission offices, state DNC headquarters, complete with date stamps, matching signatures, even the same Notary of Public authentication, and absent the constitutional text.

Just in case you are wondering, the answer is yes. This version also includes the same typo present in the version not submitted by the DNC, but including the constitutional text, which means both documents have the same place of origin.

The individual at DNC headquarters who prepared this very important document was not only a poor typist… they were sloppy enough to leave both versions of the signed documents lying around.

Now this is the stuff real conspiracies are made of!

the fact that TWO DNC Certifications exist, both signed, dated and notarized by the same individuals on the same day, means that a very real conspiracy to commit election fraud was underway, and since it took until six months after the election to uncover it, the conspiracy was indeed successful.

South Carolina FEMA Camp Opens For Business

Columbia, South Carolina has unanimously passed a measure that basically criminalizes homelessness in order to address their massive homeless problem. The homeless will be given a choice to relocate or be arrested.

If they agree to relocate they will be taken to a shelter, but a shelter allows people to come and go at will, not so for this shelter..

This “shelter” will be a remote 240-person bed emergency shelter but it is being reported that those relocated to this location will not be allowed to leave the premises without permission and there will be an armed police officer guarding the road leading to the building.

The shelter will also be used as a drop-off for people recently released from prison.

While homelessness does need to be addressed,  this sounds suspiciously more like the FEMA camps we have seen talked about of late and less like a place meant to help people get back on their feet.

The city claims this is to be a temporary measure.

This follows the recent ban on feeding the homeless in Myrtle Beach.

The Obama Administration’s hypocrisy has hit a new high this week.

While we continue to hear how racist most of the country is, especially following the George Zimmerman trial and the President’s remarks on the verdict, a manager at the Department of Homeland Security has been running a website that spews inflammatory, race-based attacks. His site advocates the “mass murder of whites” and calls for an ethnic cleansing of “Uncle Tom race traitors.”

The manager in question is Ayo Kimathi, but calls himself “Irritated Genie” on his website. While at his day job and not calling for a race war, he is in charge of buying weapons and ammunition for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) department, a truly frightening combination.

His fellow employees at the DHS are not as accepting of his personal project saying “Everybody in the office is afraid of him; we are afraid he will come in with a gun and someday go postal.” This is very believable when you consider that the hate speech on his website declares that “in order for Black people to survive in the 21st century, we are going to have to kill a lot of whites.”

This week marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have A Dream” speech. On Wednesday that speech will be commemorated by Barack Obama – who has done more to destroy Dr. King’s dream than James Earl Ray ever hoped of accomplishing.

Under this president, the color of your skin means everything. The content of your character means nothing. A yearning for equality and integration has been replaced with calls for revenge and reparations.

And sadly this has all been done by design, for the political benefit of scheming Progressive politicians who are the new, but no less loathesome, slavemasters.

This is not the future that Dr. King believed in, hoped for, prayed for, and gave his life for.

But had he given a speech called “I Have a Nightmare,” you can be sure that Barack Obama would have been prominently featured. And Dr. King’s viewpoint wouldn’t have been from themountaintop… but rather from the crumbling lip of a cliff overlooking a bottomless abyss.

A whistle-blower from Higher Education Services Corporation in Albany New York came forward and advised Attorney Orly Taitz that she personally reviewed Barack Obama’s financial aid information, which stated that financial aid was given to Obama as foreign student and as a citizen of Indonesia.

In the original case there were over 100 pages that documented that Barack Obama was a citizen of Indonesia at the time he attended Occidental and that he has used fraudulent means to secure Identification.

However, Superior Court Judge Charles Marginis ruled in favor of Occidental College and denied Taitz’s motion to force them to produce Obama’s college registration forms.

Barack Obama has spent millions of dollars to keep his records from the public eye? Why? Isn’t he the man that said, “The only people that don’t want to disclose the truth, are people with something to hide?”

Again, how hard is it for Obama to simply produce the documentation, not a forged digital image on the web, and put to rest the allegations? If I were in the position, that’s exactly what I would do and demonstrate the foolishness of the claim, but when someone goes to great expense and lengths to keep information hidden, it only lends credibility to the charges leveled against him, especially in light of his past and his time in office.

It has been widely reported in Egyptian media that one of the leaders in the attack against the Benghazi consulate on September 11, 2012 was Mohsen Al-Azazi.

President Obama surprised aides when he revealed today the existence of a sealed indictment in the Benghazi, Libya, attack, leaving some wondering if he crossed a legal line.

At a press conference at the White House, President Obama was asked whether justice would come to those responsible for the terrorist attack nearly a year ago in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador.

“[W]e have informed, I think, the public that there’s a sealed indictment,” the president responded. “It’s sealed for a reason. But we are intent on capturing those who carried out this attack, and we’re going to stay on it until we get them.”

That marked the only official confirmation so far of a sealed indictment in the Benghazi case. For days, officials across the law enforcement and intelligence communities have refused to publicly confirm reports of a sealed indictment.

After all, according to federal law, “no person may disclose [a sealed] indictment’s existence,” and a “knowing violation … may be punished as a contempt of court.” Contempt of court carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail.

An identified [DELETED] had received intelligence that indicated the protesters in New York and Seattle planned similar protests in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin,Texas. [DELETED] planned to gather intelligence against the leaders of the protest groups and obtain photographs, then formulate a plan to kill the leadership via suppressed sniper rifles.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Buys 72,000 Rounds of Ammo

Not satisfied with last year’s purchase of 46,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently solicited bids for an additional 72,000 rounds.

A solicitation by the scientific agency posted July 8 on the Federal Business Opportunities web site requested “56,000 rounds of .40 caliber 180 grain jacketed hollow points” and “16,000 rounds of .40 caliber frangible lead free rounds.”

Jacketed hollow points (JHPs) are not training rounds.

They are designed to expand (or “mushroom”) on impact and are more expensive than ball ammo used for practice.

Scientists capture “blue wave of death” in dying animals

Scientists have witnessed how death spreads through a living creature like a wave, each cell dying one after another until the entire organism is deceased.

A British team captured the final moments a tiny, transparent ground worm’s life by tracking a blue fluorescence molecule that travels through the organism’s cells as it dies.

While scientists understand many of the processes that causes individual cells to die, far less is known about the chain of events that propagate death throughout an entire animal.

As the biological mechanisms of death in worms are similar to those in mammals, the researchers believe the worm could prove a useful model for understanding death in humans.

Folate can be found in romaine lettuce, spinach, asparagus, turnip greens, mustard greens, calf’s liver, parsley, collard greens, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, and lentils.
Other good sources of folate include: summer squash, black beans, navy beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans, papaya, strawberries, green beans sea vegetables, cabbage, bell peppers, Brussels sprouts, leeks, fennel, tomatoes, and green peas.
You can supplement folate, too, but beware that many people suffer a genetic mutation that blocks folate absorption. Dr. Wes Youngberg explains in the July 10, 2013 episode of Mental Health Exposed that a significant portion of the population cannot absorb conventional folate supplements due to genetic factors, and must take a methylated form of folate instead.

The Democratic leadership nailed its colors to the big brother surveillance state mast firmly yesterday, with many voting in favor of NSA spying. Most bizarre, however, was the party line justification for doing so.

The entire reason why the vote on the NSA program was taking place was because of the revelations that the snooping is aimed at every American.

The raging debate on the surveillance tactics was enflamed only because it was proven that the PRISM operation was all encompassing.

The NSA was shown to be operationally recording every single phone call, email, text and instant message made in America and beyond. Even the most casual of news readers is aware of this.

For Democrat leaders to attempt to convince representatives that the program was aimed only at select individuals is grossly misleading at best, and at worst is just an outright lie.

That is unless you assume that every single American “may be in communication with terrorist groups” – and therein lies the rub.

Real U.S. unemployment double what government says it is

In the last four years, the headline U.S. unemployment rate has been decreasing steadily, from 10.0 percent in October 2010 to a four-year low of 7.5 percent in Apr 2013. Since then, it has been fluctuating between 7.5 percent and 7.6 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

While it’s true that the unemployment rate is trending down, June and May 2013 saw slight increases. But a truer picture of U.S. labor woes depends on what figures you’re looking at. While one could assume from the headline data that 7.5 percent of people of working age are unemployed, actually, if one counts those who want a job but are no longer looking, the number of people out of work is more than 14 percent, about 14.3 percent, according to U.S. government data.

The White House assures that tracking our every phone call and keystroke is to stop terrorists, and yet it won’t snoop in mosques, where the terrorists are.

That’s right, the government’s sweeping surveillance of our most private communications excludes the jihad factories where homegrown terrorists are radicalized.

Since October 2011, mosques have been off-limits to FBI agents. No more surveillance or undercover string operations without high-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department dubbed the Sensitive Operations Review Committee.

We do know the panel was set up under pressure from Islamist groups who complained about FBI stings at mosques. Just months before the panel’s formation, the Council on American-Islamic Relations teamed up with the ACLU to sue the FBI for allegedly violating the civil rights of Muslims in Los Angeles by hiring an undercover agent to infiltrate and monitor mosques there.

Before mosques were excluded from the otherwise wide domestic spy net the administration has cast, the FBI launched dozens of successful sting operations against homegrown jihadists — inside mosques — and disrupted dozens of plots against the homeland.

Apparently unafraid for his safety, George Zimmerman was spotted in Kansas gassing a rental car Monday morning.

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure it was him,” said an employee who snapped a photo (below) of what appears to be Zimmerman filling up an SUV at a suburban Olathe convenience store.

The photo contradicts reports that Zimmerman would be in hiding for an extended length of time after being found not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin.

President Obama addressed the Zimmerman verdict by doubling-down on his comment last year that if he had a son, he’d look like Trayvon Martin. Speaking from the White House Friday, Obama said, “Trayvon could have been me 35 years ago.”

However, friends of the young Obama called the President’s comparison far-fetched.

“Maybe in some ways Barry was like Trayvon – he lived to get high and was obviously destined to never hold a real job,” said one fellow “Choom Gang” member. “But the only person Barry ever beat upon was himself, if you know what I mean. Hey, I once saw him get knocked out by an 11-year-old girl.
